Job Update

Here is what is up with my job situation for all the family and friends out there that want to know. lol.

I got a job at a coffee shop named Cup O' Joy. It is located in Dakota Dunes, SD. Like 2 minutes away from my old job. I am super excited about this job and I think it will be a blast. I love making coffee for people. It will be a nice change of pace and a lot less stress. They also have awesome wraps and soup, so everyone can come and visit me...just give me a little time to learn the ropes :)

You can pray I find another job too. The coffee shop job will not pay enough or have enough hours. I think I really want to be a fitness instructor and teach yoga, pilates, and Zumba classes. That would be fun and I think I would be really good at that.

I have learned to rely on God through this difficult time of not knowing where he wants me to be. Hopefully I have been faithful to him and STILL need to be faithful that he is gonna provide enough money for David and I. Which he always does provide, so no worries!

I am a good graphic designer and that was solid in my head, God just needed to humble me. I think he was saying, "Whatever you think is solid in your life, (for me this was graphic design) is not solid. The only thing that is solid is Me, Jesus. You need to put your trust in Me more." I needed that reminder. I was reminded that it is not about having the highest title, most power, a lot of money, to be famous, or anything of that sort. It is about being able to give God the glory for everything that I do. Whether it is a barista at a coffee shop or the best graphic designer, He deserves my availability whenever and wherever. This is what I can take away from this experience. I am still learning a lot and my life still feels really unstable, but I couldn't be happier! I will take it one day at a time putting my trust in Jesus, my best friend.
Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
       and lean not on your own understanding;

 6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
       and he will make your paths straight.

  1. Hmm... Maybe I'll get brave and take two little girls to a coffee shop sometime soon. :) Have fun on your first day at work!

  2. Good for you Judy! Trusting in God is always a good thing. Besides, the title of being one of God's children is pretty high in light of eternity.
    If you end up with some time on your hands you could consider volunteering your graphic arts skills to local businesses/non-profits you've noticed in need some help. May not generate any cash but it would build your resume and potentially some good leads on work you like to do.
    PS. The boys are on the wii frequently. If you ever want to play with them give Jayne or I a buzz. They really like the multi-player thing now.
