I am up early, all my family is still asleep. The house is quiet. I am in the basement sitting on the floor of the laundry room thinking and pondering Jesus' awesome birth. I am so happy and amazed that He came down to this earth to die on the cross for my sins. Happy birthday Jesus. I love you. You are my everything. With that said....
Merry Christmas to ALL
I am excited to spend Christmas with my family before we all break up! John and Jayne and the kids moving to Texas. Me and David going back to Sioux City. I am pleased and overjoyed that we are all in this house for Christmas. God's blessing are with us today.

I've wanted a sweater dress for a while. I like them because there are so many ways to wear them! Add leggings, tights, boots, belts, scarfs...the options are endless. Perfect for Christmas and the new year. Enjoy!
This is how I put together my sweater dress:
Leggings, red booties, a couple of bracelets, and a sweater under my sweater dress to keep me warm in this cold weather!

Trying to guess what is in this present for me...def. not a snuggie in there. lol.
Me and blackey. I sure do love him.

Lets enjoy this season as much as possible. Here are some fun images to look at and enjoy! Beautiful ring with a snowflake.

Cant tell if this is a painting or a photo.

David just introduced me to the Christmas lights that are programmed to the radio. FUN!

Digging these colors!

I want one of these stocking heels. Adorable. Waiting till they go on sale at Pier One after Christmas.

Neat and different trees:

Well, haven't written in a while. Sorry.
Here is a recap of my life...
on Monday, November 30th, I got "let go" from my job. Bummer. My company is closing the office in the Dakota Dunes to save money or whatever. I have till February 1st, 2010 to find a new job. Please keep David and I in your prayers. We don't know what God is going to bring up or lead us to. I am excited to see though, can't wait. If you know of any graphic design jobs out there...let me know (I wish I could get payed for blogging, it is so fun)! God has always provided for me, and this situation is no different.

Here is David's and my verse that we are taking into consideration as we go through this weird time!
Can I get an amen??!?
Hope this encourages you throughout the struggles and changes in your life too.

What I am thankful for entry #5

I am thankful for Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior and best friend.

I made these graphics (in fun color combos) to show what God is to me:
I love the Lord with all my heart, with all my soul, and with all my mind! I am so glad to be his daughter and I will never turn away from him. Thank you Jesus for being all these things posted in the graphic above, and so much more than that too! You are everything to me Jesus. I love you and I thank you for putting up with me and my sins.

What I am thankful for entry #4

I am thankful for the personal spiritual leaders God has brought into my life!

I am thankful for our next door neighbors, Jim and Ellen Heeney (I didn't have a picture of them, so this is a picture of their 2 sons! Sorry boys hope you don't mind representing your parents, i got it off facebook):

David and I have a bible study with our awesome next door neighbors, Jim and Ellen once a week. We are learning about all of God's covenants. It is the deepest bible study I have done. I am thankful for Jim and Ellen because they are God's workman helping and showing David and I how to be more like Christ as we dig into God's word together each week! What a blessing they are to my life, thank you Jim and Ellen.

I am also thankful for the fabulous Laurie Van Cura:
Laurie and I meet about every week (at starbucks! yum!) and encourage, listen, and pray for each other. We always remind each other that whatever is going on with our life, we know that the Lord is in control. There had been tears shed and many laughs to be heard with this relationship! Thank you, Laurie, for being my mentor! You are appreciated.

I am so thankful for my new husband.
He is so cute, like a model! At least I think so ;)

ALWAYS on his cell phone.

I am so thankful that he loves me for...ME! Mr. David Bligh is the love of my life and my husband forever. I am thankful that God put him in my life. I am learning so much about myself and God through our relationship!

what I am thankful for entry #2

I am thankful for is my mom, Connie Leinen!

I have always been thankful for my mom. She has always put my needs in-front of her own needs! But this year I want to give her a special THANK YOU because she was such a huge blessing in helping my fiancé and myself plan our wedding this past August. I am thankful for my mom because of all the time she put into our very special day, the day a girl dreams about for her whole life! She knew how important it was for me. She was not controlling, but supportive in every way. Without my mom’s touches, our wedding day would not have been as lovely. My beautiful mother made over 300 tissue paper flower puffs. It took her months to do. See below:

She also was a moral support and kept me calm when I called her freaking out about my wedding plans. She brought my wedding dress from Des Moines to Sioux City. She lost a bunch of weight, go mom! She brought her collection of cake stands (about 20) and some plates for my cupcakes (again from Des Moines to Sioux city) See below:

The list of things my mother did for me goes on and on. I am so thankful for her not only my whole life, but especially this year with her helping, supportive hand with our wedding. My mother's love, support, honesty, and encouragement has helped shape me into who I am today. My hope one day is to grow up and be as beautiful as my mom, inside and out!

She is tying my bow!

My mom and I have the same facial expression!
Thanks mom, you are really appreciated, I love you!
