What I am thankful for entry #5

I am thankful for Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior and best friend.

I made these graphics (in fun color combos) to show what God is to me:
I love the Lord with all my heart, with all my soul, and with all my mind! I am so glad to be his daughter and I will never turn away from him. Thank you Jesus for being all these things posted in the graphic above, and so much more than that too! You are everything to me Jesus. I love you and I thank you for putting up with me and my sins.

What I am thankful for entry #4

I am thankful for the personal spiritual leaders God has brought into my life!

I am thankful for our next door neighbors, Jim and Ellen Heeney (I didn't have a picture of them, so this is a picture of their 2 sons! Sorry boys hope you don't mind representing your parents, i got it off facebook):

David and I have a bible study with our awesome next door neighbors, Jim and Ellen once a week. We are learning about all of God's covenants. It is the deepest bible study I have done. I am thankful for Jim and Ellen because they are God's workman helping and showing David and I how to be more like Christ as we dig into God's word together each week! What a blessing they are to my life, thank you Jim and Ellen.

I am also thankful for the fabulous Laurie Van Cura:
Laurie and I meet about every week (at starbucks! yum!) and encourage, listen, and pray for each other. We always remind each other that whatever is going on with our life, we know that the Lord is in control. There had been tears shed and many laughs to be heard with this relationship! Thank you, Laurie, for being my mentor! You are appreciated.

what I am thankful for entry #3

I am so thankful for my new husband.
He is so cute, like a model! At least I think so ;)

ALWAYS on his cell phone.

I am so thankful that he loves me for...ME! Mr. David Bligh is the love of my life and my husband forever. I am thankful that God put him in my life. I am learning so much about myself and God through our relationship!

what I am thankful for entry #2

I am thankful for is my mom, Connie Leinen!

I have always been thankful for my mom. She has always put my needs in-front of her own needs! But this year I want to give her a special THANK YOU because she was such a huge blessing in helping my fiancé and myself plan our wedding this past August. I am thankful for my mom because of all the time she put into our very special day, the day a girl dreams about for her whole life! She knew how important it was for me. She was not controlling, but supportive in every way. Without my mom’s touches, our wedding day would not have been as lovely. My beautiful mother made over 300 tissue paper flower puffs. It took her months to do. See below:

She also was a moral support and kept me calm when I called her freaking out about my wedding plans. She brought my wedding dress from Des Moines to Sioux City. She lost a bunch of weight, go mom! She brought her collection of cake stands (about 20) and some plates for my cupcakes (again from Des Moines to Sioux city) See below:

The list of things my mother did for me goes on and on. I am so thankful for her not only my whole life, but especially this year with her helping, supportive hand with our wedding. My mother's love, support, honesty, and encouragement has helped shape me into who I am today. My hope one day is to grow up and be as beautiful as my mom, inside and out!

She is tying my bow!

My mom and I have the same facial expression!
Thanks mom, you are really appreciated, I love you!

This year, one thing I am thankful for is technology. See below:

I can talk to people like Annie all the way in Japan :) and now my family in Des Moines and soon to be family in San Antonio, Texas! Thanks Skype for keeping us connected in a visual and easy way!

I just started my blog like a month ago. I am thankful for this because I enjoy getting to share my creative thoughts, ideas, and life with all of you who I love!

My mac book, which helps me perform all of the tasks above!

tights, tights, and more tights

Tights are so "now". Everywhere you shop you can find an endless amount of colors and textures. Lets take advantage of this ladies, and have fun with tights. We only live once!

ABOVE: Cute modcloth tights, click here for tights link.

ABOVE: Loving this J.crew look. Dark grey tights, a staple in any wardrobe!

ABOVE: Great inspiration: link.

ABOVE: link.

ABOVE: Adorable outfit and beautifully patterned tights. My favorite! click here.

ABOVE: If you live in the midwest, or are afraid and not so daring to wear crazy colors of tights. I have a solution, simply get a black tight with a little fun texture, like this dotted pair found here.

Hope this inspired you so, I know it did me :) God bless!

Holloween Recap

I was a Blackie for halloween. I took kitty chow to the party (see recipe below, it is yummy). So that worked well. This party was such a fun time had by all!

David was a robot. He was a big hit, everybody laughed.

Here was the whole group of the night.

Can't wait till next year, we already have an awesome idea for David's costume...hahahaha!
