Journal hunt

It is a good time of year right now. The grass is turning green, tulips are popping up left and right, I can go outside more, David and I can grill out, and (drum roll please) it is time to buy a new journal! I adore journals. It think they are amazing. I wish I could have thousands of them, however, I just try to have one journal and write in it until I fill it up and then buy a new one. I am finally coming to the end of my current journal. So I am on a hunt to find the perfect journal. Exciting :)

A break from the norm

Our church hosted an overnight marriage retreat at the Hole n' the Wall Lodge in Akron, Iowa. It was nice to get away in the peace and quiet, meet new couples, learn about how we can be Godly/servant oriented spouses. Loved it. Next year, count us in for 2 nights instead of 1 night! 

I've been reading

I've never been a "big reader". This Christmas I got an awesome Kindle Fire, I have enjoyed reading more :)

Make over my make-up

I’ll be the first to admit that I am not great with applying make-up. It’s not my best skill. I do the basics and that is about all. I feel like I should do more, but I don’t really like a heavy “made-up” face. I am more of the natural kind of make-up type.

However, my makeup “storage system” was driving me nuts. It was an unorganized mess. I couldn’t find what I needed when I needed it. This morning was the first morning I used my new and improved organized make-up system, it was great!
