Even though the Bears didn't win "the game" last Sunday (sad), I still think this skyline is creative.

Creative Wednesday

I love these Rachael Ray spoons. They hook onto the side of your pot. Brilliant! I don't know if it was her line that thought of this first, but why didn't anyone think of this sooner.

Golden Globes 2011

I haven't seen any of these tv shows, short films, or movies that were talked about on the Golden Globes because I don't watch TV very much. I do love all the dresses. Here are some of my favorites.

I was at Starbucks today and they didn't have the new logo on their cups or in their sign-age . I wonder when this is all going take place?

Creative Wednesday

I am going to start posting every Wednesday. It will be call Creative Wednesday. I will post pictures of something someone has thought up and I think is just brilliant, adorable, silly, and just plain creative. I love creative things. I think people that think these things up should be showcased a little more. It is really going to be about anything, but I hope to focus on fashion, graphic design, art, home decor, food and things like that. If we are lucky, I might even post something creative I have done! So…here is my fist creative Wednesday post. So excited:

A little culture during The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

I saw this interview with Jay Leno and was so encouraged. I love classical music. It is really a part of who I am. Sometimes I forget how much I love it. When I saw this conductor, Gustavo Dudamel, on Jay...I just had to share. I was so proud that he interviewed classical music conductor. What a delight :)

Feel more cultured now?!? lol. Hope you enjoyed!

The winner was...

The winner: The GOLD dress.
Thanks for voting! To winterize this dress I wore it with black tights, a black sweater, black patent leather pumps (I put the pumps on once I got inside the church), gold earrings, black nail polish, and red lipstick for a little fun and color.

It was a beautiful new years day wedding day for Adeng and Annie. They looked amazing and were so happy. I am so honored that David and I could be a part of it :)

Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Chen!

I need your help

One of my best friends, Annie, is getting married on January 1st, 2011! I am so excited to see her and her fiance, Adeng, become one.
I need your help, I can't decide which dress to wear. Here is some info about the wedding so you can get a feel of what dress would be most appropriate.
It is going to be an afternoon wedding at a church in Omaha, NE. A cake reception to follow. The colors are red and gold. My other best friend, Katie, and I are in charge of the guest book.
How fun, all my college friends will be reunited again! I can't wait :)
So, here are your choices:
A. navy blue and gold dress
B. all gold dress
C. red dress
D. 'little' black dress
I will be wearing fun black tights, black or gold heals, and a sweater/cardigan of some short over the 'winning' dress.
OK! VOTE on the side bar in the upper right corner!!!!
Can't wait to see what everyone thinks.
XOXOXO,
Simply Judy Bligh

Advent Calendar

I was thinking about the Advent Calendar the other day. I know what you have to do...but I wasn't sure why people do them. Of course it is fun to get little gifts every day, but what is the real meaning?

I found this article
"Centuries ago, the importance of this event caused many Christians to feel that it was inadequate merely to mark off only one day on the yearly calendar for celebrating this incredible gift from God. Believers had (and still do have) such a sense of awe and overwhelming gratitude and wonder at what happened that first Christmas that they felt the need for a period of preparation immediately beforehand. They could then not only take time themselves to meditate on it, but also teach their children the tremendous significance of Christmas." source.
I love it. It is in preparation for Jesus Birth! Can I get an amen to this please!?!
